And the shipping continues

… I hate you guys for making my brain work.
When Airheart’s plane crashed she actually fell prey to wandering time vortex that lead to a weird place existing outside of regular space and time. She landed, quite gracefully, on the deck of Captain Albert Alexander’s shipwreck. When he’d gone down at sea, he had actually been sucked into a similar vortex. He’d been all alone for quite awhile (having not aged a day, and somehow or other managed to survive by eating the local flora and fauna) and so was ecstatic to meet the lovely Lily Airheart. When he discovered she was heartbroken because of Jimmy, however, Alexander revealed the possibility that Jimmy was lost somewhere in the weird place as well, and so they set out on an adventure to track him down. Along the way the two of them got to know each other better and Albert sincerely fell in love with Lily. Unbeknownst to him, she had come to feel the same way. But neither would admit it because of their sense of honour and loyalty, and so their love still goes unrequited to this day. However, they are the best of friends!

Rebloging again because damn! :D

The gears just keep on turning. I have to see this through to the end!The truth is, Jimmy was sucked into a wandering time vortex much like the one Albert and Lily fell victim to.
Jimmy was sent back in time, to a small, English fishing village in the 18th century, when piracy was at its worst and the high seas were still a place where real adventure was to be had. Upon being deposited on shore, his head collided with a rock he was knocked unconscious. He would’ve been drowned by the incoming tide if it hadn’t been for an old fisherman and his wife, who dragged the young man to the safety of their humble fishing hut. They nursed him through many nights of fever and brain swelling, but when he finally awoke the damage was done; he had no recollection of who he was or where he came from.
The fisherman and his wife were aghast and sympathetic, but how could they let a chance like this pass them by? A strapping young lad like this was the boon they’d long prayed for! The couple had tried to have children of their own, but never succeeded, and yet here was the son they longed for. So they disposed of his aviator cap and jacket, knowing it would only confuse him, and then they told him his name was Albert and that he was their son.
Weeks passed as the couple reminded their son of how he used to play out by the sea, and how he loved it. Albert look longingly upon the ocean, feeling like he should be somewhere else, doing something, looking for something. But he managed to convince himself that he was their son because who else could he be? He was put to work fishing, re-learning the trade of baiting hook and line, and of of sailing. He picked it all up quickly and it wasn’t long until he was a master at sailing the small skiff he was told he had always taken out as a boy.
But after nearly two years still he yearned to be elsewhere. His parents, who had come to love Albert as if he truly was their son, saw the young man’s distress and knew they had to let him go. He promised to return home from time to time, but they knew he wouldn’t.
So Albert left. You know how the story went. 10 long years at sea took their toll on him. Sea spray and many a battle wore at his face and hands. His took upon the stature of a true seaman, a captain, and wore his new identity with pride; it was all he had ever known.
Jimmy faded to all but a faint glimmer in Albert’s eye.
Then the fated meeting. Albert had gone down at sea, Lily had crashed her airplane. Both had arrived in a new world, but strangers. .
They would go on many an adventure together while in search of Jimmy, though of course they never found him. They were occasionally joined by Rex Marksley who was also sucked through time and space now and again, but somehow always managed to make it back where and when he came from.
But never would either Lily or Albert admit to being in love with the other. Never would Lily realize that Albert’s identity is actually that of Jimmy, her lost love. Nor would Albert ever remember that the one thing he’d always been looking for was a girl, half-airplane and all heart.
Captain Albert “Jimmy” Alexander and Lily Airheart.
